Hearts of Steel

A historical account of my great grandfathers time in the Royal Navy between the period 1918 to 1941. From peacetime to war in Norway, and the Mediterranean.

Reviews

"A thoroughly researched and authentic account of life aboard a British naval warship during peacetime and at war during one of the most intense periods of Britains naval past"

"Excellent and easy reading, this book is difficult to put down once started. Sheds a new perspective of what a wartime service life in the Royal Navy truly meant."

"This book was a wonderful gift and trust me when you start reading it then it’s hard to put down."

"A well written and researched account of life in the British Navy from the end of the Great War to 1941."

History

My mother, Jo, was my inspiration to read, explore and now write about history. She introduced me to the battles of Waterloo, Trafalgar and Gettysburg. These naturally led to more recent military history, the men and their machines.
